Baby Room

Our purpose-built baby room, is a homely, welcoming and stimulating environment, providing a wide variety of sensory activities to encourage your little ones curiosity and exploratory impulses.

A key person from the team will build a warm relationship with your baby, helping your baby feel settled and secure during the nursery day. The key person will also work with you to learn about your baby’s routine and individual needs. You will be given a daily communication diary, featuring 'Dear Parent - Dear Nursery' on alternating pages throughout, it includes sections for bottle feeds, nappy changes, and food intake, as well as space for notes – with alternate pages for you to write to the setting about any additional information. Once complete it will be a little book of memories that you can keep.

Mealtime menus are adapted to cater for each child less than one year old to help support with their weaning stages, the food that we offer to your little one will only be what you have tried at home yourself. Any dietary requirements and allergies will be discussed during your child's first settling in session.

We value the bond created between mother and baby during that special breastfeeding moment therefore we have a comfortable area within our baby room where breastfeeding is welcome.

As your child grows and develops we will discuss with you when we feel your little one is ready to transition from the Baby room into the Toddler room..

We share information with you via Tapestry, an online journal that records all the learning and fun of your child’s early education. Each child’s development and personal interests are recorded in their Learning Journal using observations, photos, and videos from nursery. We record special moments and keep you and any person you authorise, involved in a partnership with us as your child blossoms and grows. Parents are able to view and comment on these special moments and are able to contribute their own stories of the child’s life outside of nursery.
